Chapter Support

The Piedmont Carolina Alumnae Association of Kappa Kappa Gamma supports the Delta Beta chapter at Duke University in Durham, NC.

 

Alumnae Association members:

  • serve as Advisers and House Board members for the chapters.

  • partner with Chapter members for our Founders Day celebration each October

  • participate in career networking events with actives and alumnae

  • welcome new graduates to alumnae life at our Senior Brunch each May

 

Delta Beta

In 1930, a local group, Sigma Beta, decided to petition Kappa Kappa Gamma with help from sponsors Miss Eva Malone (Ellis) and Mrs. Clarence Pemberton and under the guidance of Rheva Ott Shryock, Pennsylvania. The request for a charter was accompanied by a film prepared by the members. Their request was granted at the 1930 Convention. The Delta Beta chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma was installed on October 25, 1930 at Duke University.
